Community and government officials received tournament participants in the local town hall and welcomed all athletes.
Tomorrow the II Pan American Challenge Cup Tournament will start, and this afternoon the local authorities and the Peruvian Hockey Federation received the athletes.
“We wanted to wish you all a great tournament and welcome you to the Capital of Friendship, because that's what Chiclayo is, a city that enjoys greeting people and making friends. This tournament is a great opportunity to fulfill our goal, "said Antonio Sanchez, Representative of the Regional Government.
On the other hand, Gianni Delucchi, President of the Peruvian Hockey Federation, thanked the authorities for their support and cooperation with this tournament. "I hope this tournament is a real party, we have worked hard for it”, said the official who thanked PAHF and local government collaboration.
Antonio Von Ondarza , Representative of the Pan American Federation was invited to close the ceremony. He highlighted the work of the organization and invited everybody to create bonds.
“We are a family within this sport, we are always seeking for friendship”, said Tony.
The official opening was attended by Antonio Sanchez, Juan Carlos Perez , Councilor of the Municipality, Gianni Delucchi , President of the Peruvian Federation , Antonio Von Ondarza , PAHF Representative , Laura Macchiotti , Tournament Coordinator ; Adrian Della Mattia Tournament Director, all the Technical Officials , Medical Officials, Umpire Managers , assistants, Judges , Umpires and Official Representatives of all delegations.
