Meeting in Chiclayo

Laura Macchiotti visited the site of the next Men´s and Women´s Pan American Challenge 2015 to be held from October 3rd to the 11th , 2015 in Chiclayo, Peru.

During an official visit in preparation for the international men´s and women´s hockey tournament Pan American Challenge 2015, the President of the Peruvian Hockey Federation (FDPH) Gianni Delucchi and the Event Coordinator of the Pan American Hockey Federation , Mrs. Laura Macchiotti met the Mayor of the city of Chiclayo, Ing. This prestigious hockey tournament will be played from October 3rd -11th, 2015 on the official pitch of the FDPH located at Colegio Emblemático San José.

Laura Macchiotti said: `The PAHF entrusted the FDPH with the organization of this tournament due to their excellent work in development , and the decentralization and widespread growth of the sport with excellent use of the infrastructure legacy they received after the 2013 Bolivarian Games.

Ing. David Cornejo Chinguel is pleased to host the event in the city of Chiclayo which is a first time host to an international event from the PAHF. The Mayor promised to support the delivery of the tournament which will also host umpiring and coaching courses, labeling it an event of provincial interest.

With the aim of giving the region momentum the President of the FDPH Mr. Gianni Delucchi agreed with City Hall to work together on the creation of the first municipal hockey academy.

To coordinate operations for this tournament, the President of the Peruvian Hockey Federation (FDPH) Gianni Delucchi and the Events Coordinator of the Pan American Hockey Federation, Mrs. Laura Macchiotti met with the Vice-President of the Lambayeque Region, Mr Francisco Cardoso Romero as well as Mr. Francisco Cabrera Carrasco, Regional Education Manager and Mr. Ulises Guevara Paico, Director of the UGEL Chiclayo. The regional authorities accompanied by President of the FDPH Gianni Delucchi and the representative from the PAHF , Mrs. Laura Macchiotti, later on participated in a work meeting with the authorities from Colegio San José to agree upon tasks to be executed before and during the event. Foto 3

Mr. Cardoso in representation of the maximum regional authority said he was pleased having this competition in his region and guaranteed support for delivery of the same. The director of Colegio San José, Mr. Walter Saavedra also said he would support the activities of the FDPH.

It is hoped that the scholastic and sports communities of Chiclayo will also participate in this important event.

National Teams from Peru, Barbados, Brazil, Ecuador, Guyana, Panama, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela will participated in this event.
