The first match of Day 2 of the 2014 Men’s Youth Pan Am Championships, which is the continental qualifier for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, was between Guatemala and Canada. On a very overcast morning Canada scored their 1^st goal in the second minute of play by # 7, J.Singh, with a last post tap in. They quickly score their 2^nd item of the contest within a minute to bring the score to 2-0. Canada scored their 3^rd item of the match from a rebound off the board which is swept into the goal by their captain, B. Panesar, to the dismay of the Guatemala keeper. Just seconds before the end of the 1^st period Canada scored their 4^th goal from a reverse stick strike by # 9, V Sandhu.

Canada surged ahead with 2 more goals early in the 2^nd period. They then scored 5 more goals within the period to bring the score to 11-0. In the dying seconds of the 2^nd period Canada #12, A. Sidhu, scored a reverse stick shot which lobed the keeper to bring the score to 12-0. Canada scored early in the 3^rd period with a 2v1 against the Guatemalan goal keeper, Morales Bautista. Despite a lot of gutsy play and spirited defending by Guatemala, Canada were able to score 7 goals within the 3^rd period and end the game 19-0.
