The 2^nd Match of the day featured Mexico vs. Puerto Rico. Mexico opened the scoring in the 5^th minute of play and then went on to score 1 minute later with a powerful sweep from # 8 R. Lemus Diaz. Mexico scored their 3^rd goal in the 6^th minute with a field goal by #9, Mercado Pintor, to end the first period 3-0 in favor of Mexico.

The Mexicans scored their 4^th goal within the first few minutes of the 2^nd period. Puerto Rico scored their first goal of the tournament with a cheeky elimination and tap in by #9 E. Fuentes Rios. The second period sparked into a very fast pace and physical affair which saw the evolution of a 6-1 score line, in favor of Mexico.

In the 3^rd period of play Mexico scored their 7^th goal within the first few minutes of the period. Puerto Rican fought back to get their second goal of the match bringing the score to 7-2.  M. Mendez Falcon of Mexico then scored a tap over the head of the keeper to get their 8^th goal of the contest. Puerto Rico continued to fight on scoring their 3^rd goal in the dying seconds of the match. The match ended 8-3 in favor of Mexico.
