Tournament Top Goal Scorer, Yoandy BLANCO, powered Cuba to the gold medal when he scored a hatrick in his team’s comprehensive 5-1 victory against Trinidad and Tobago in the final of the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (Men). Cuba were crowned 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (Women) gold medalists when they edged Dominican Republic 4-3 in a penalty shootout after both teams played to an exciting 3-3 draw at the end of regulation time. The host country Mexico beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 to win the bronze medal. Cuba and Dominican Republic have also qualified for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. More
