  • 2015 Pan American Games - SF - Brazil vs. Canada

    Host Canada and Argentina advance to gold medal match in Men’s 2015 Pan American Games

    In thrilling match, Canada beats Brazil in the penalty shoot out to advance to the gold medal match. Taken together with the other semifinal result of Argentina’s 6-0 defeat over Chile, Argentina and Canada advanced to the gold medal match. Chile and Brazil will play in the bronze medal match. Mexico and United States will play for fifth place. In the match for seventh place, Cuba will face Trinidad and Tobago. More

  • 2015 Pan American Games - SF - Argentina vs. Chile

    Argentina and United States advance to gold medal match

    Chile and Canada will play for bronze. Mexico and Uruguay will play for 5th/6th place; while Cuba and the Dominican Republic will play for 7th place. With the competition almost complete, Argentina’s Noel Barrionuevo still leads all scorers with 9 goals, United States’ Kelsey Kolojejchick has 7 goals and Argentina’s Delfina Merino has 6 goals. Argentina has also scored the most goals in the tournament (41). Both Argentina and the United States have yet to be scored upon. More

  • 2015 Pan American Games - QF - USA vs. Brazil

    Brazil joins usual contenders Argentina, Chile, Canada in Pan Am semifinals

    Typical powerhouses Argentina and Canada cruised their way to the semifinals after winning 12-0 and 3-0 in their quarter-final matches against Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago, respectively. Chile overcame a gritty first half to knock out Cuba, 6-2, to move on, while the most inspiring moments of the tournament go to World No. 37-ranked Brazil who beat the USA 3-1 in shootouts to not only secure a spot in the semis but qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
