The tightest game of the day came at the end of the day when Chile edged Canada 1-0 thanks to an early goal from captain Camila Caram. Mexico netted six goals to silence Trinidad and Tobago in the second game of the day and India defeated Belarus 1-0 in the lone Pool A game. More

Uruguay put the world on notice on the first day of the women’s Grypho Hockey World League Round 2 in West Vancouver, Canada as the No. 23-ranked Cimarronas forced top-ranked India into a shootout. India came out on top 4-2 to earn the lone Victory in the three-team Pool A, while Chile and Canada cruised to victories over Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico, respectively. More

The final HWLR2 event bursts into action in West Vancouver, Canada, as another seven teams vie for a place at this summer's HWL Semi-Finals and the chance to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in London. Home advantage, experience gleaned in 2015 against top flight opposition and the lure of a place at the 2018 World Cup – Canada women have to be among the favourites to take one of the two automatic HWL Semi Final qualification places in the third HWL Round Two competition of the current cycle. USA and Chile battled for the 2nd position in Pool A with Barbados likely to occupy position 4, while any of Trinidad & Tobago, Russia or Switzerland had a mathematical chance of placing second in Pool B.
