Guatemala at the top of the group.  El Salvador and Panama share the second place. El Salvador player, Felipe Rivera Hernandez is the top scorer with 6 goals.


Costa Rica vs Ecuador: 4 - 7 (4 - 6)

Costa Rica and Ecuador met in the first match of day 2 in men’s competition at the Costa Rica Indoor. In an even match Costa Rica went into the attack and had a good. Both teams shared the possession of the the game.

4 minutes into the game Costa Rica scored first thru Eduardo Orozco Brenes giving the lead    1-0 to his team over Ecuador. Guatemala responded soon and scored two goals in a row in minute 6th; field goals by Jimmy Cedeno Pacheco and Jose Luis Lopez Jaramillo. Two goals this time from Costa Rica, thru Luis Venegas Vargas in minute 7th put Costa Rica on top 3-2. An excited group of fans cheered their players when Ecuador fired without mercy. In minutes 8th and 9th  two field goals by  Yeremy Aldair Bombon Cunalata and Sergio Andres Vasquez Palacios, a penalty stoke in minute 10th converted by Ecuador’s Captain, Hugo Cesar Vasquez Palacios  and a few minutes later  Jose Luis Lopez Jaramillo scored his second of the match and gave the lead 3-6 to Ecuador. Four minutes, later Costa Rica scored thru Eduardo Orozco Brenes –his second in the match, leading the teams to the break 4-6, in favor of Ecuador.

Little action happened in the second period. Ecuador capitalized a penalty stroke converted by Yeremy Aldair Bombon Cunalata in minute 36th. Final result of the game was 4-7 in favor of Ecuador.


El Salvador vs Panama: 4 - 5 (2 - 3)

El Salvador and Panama came into the pitch battling for the control of the second game of day 2 of the men’s Central American Indoor Championship in Costa Rica. Panama beat El Salvador 4-5.

Panama opened the score in the 1st minute from a penalty corner executed by Manuel Correa and a second goal by the same player three minutes later.  Panama’s lead 2-0 over El Salvador did not impress the rivals at all; El Salvador achieved the draw scoring in minute 15th and 19th thru Edwin Armero Murillo and Samuel Deras Renderos. Before half time, only seconds to the end of the first period Eduardo Gordon scored for Panama giving the lead to his team.

The second half was even, with opportunities for both teams. El Salvador converted two in a row; Felipe Rivera Hernandez and Samuel Deras Renderos in minute 25th and 31st.  But it was Panama who went out with a victory when they added two more by Manuel Correa in minute 33rd and Adrian Hernandez in minute 39th with a final result of 4-5 for the Panamanians.


Guatemala vs Panama: 3 - 0 (1 - 0)

In the third match of the day Guatemala and Panama played. Both teams looked for a win, and tried not to miss opportunities. Guatemala came into the first half concentrated and ready for the attack; in the first minute of the game Oscar Giron gave the lead to Guatemala. Little action happened in the first period and teams went to the half time 1-0 in favor of Guatemala.

Guatemala lead the second period too, Leonidas Leiva scored in minute 25th and capitalized a penalty stroke in minute 40. Final result was 3-0 in favor of Guatemala.


Ecuador vs El Salvador: 1 - 5 (1 - 4)

El Salvador took the lead of the last game of the second day of the men’s competition in the Central American Indoor Championship in San Jose, Costa Rica.

El Salvador showed supremacy from the very start of the game; they scored first in minute 5th thru Felipe Rivera Hernandez, who is now the top scorer of the tournament.  In minute 12th Edwin Armero Murillo gave the lead to El Salvador for 2-0 over Ecuador. Ecuador’s Captain, Hugo Cesar Vasquez Palacios converted a penalty stroke in minute 13, but El Salvador responded in minute 15th and 19th with field goals from Edwin Armero Murillo (his second) and Kevin Jimenez Urbina.

At the end of the first half, the score was 1-4 in favor of El Salvador. In the second half El Salvador added one more in minute 21st thru Kevin Jimenez Urbina. El Salvador won 1-5 over Ecuador.
