In the first match of the 2014 Women’s Indoor Pan American Cup, Argentina and Canada played. Canada scored quickly in the 2nd minute off a field goal by Amanda Woodcroft. Canada kept up the pressure and five minutes later, Woodcroft scored again. Madison Thompson gave Canada a three goal lead in the 7th minute. Play was in Canada’s attacking half the rest of the match. However, Argentina’s defense played strong and Canada did not score again until Alexandra Thicke gave her team a four goal lead in the 18th minute. Woodcroft had a hat-trick in the final minute off a penalty stroke. The score was 5-0 in favor of Canada at the half. Canada continued to dominate possession. Jocelyn Mitchell gave Canada a six goal lead in the 24th minute;  and then one  minute later Canada’s Captain Kri Shier made it 7-0 over Argentina. Thicke scored again to give Canada an eight goal lead over Argentina. Two minutes later Kyesia O’Neal made the score 9-0 over Argentina. Shannon Pereira continued the Canadian attack and her goal in the 38th minute resulted in the final score 10-0 in favor of Canada.

In the second match of the 2014 Women’s Indoor Pan American Cup, host Uruguay and United States played. For much of the first half, it was a hard fought battle for possession and both teams did not have many shot opportunities. Sofia Mora scored first and gave Uruguay a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. Both teams continued to play hard and the score remained 1-0 in favor of Uruguay at half time. The second half had more of Uruguay on the attack and Lucia Lamberti put her team ahead by two goals in the 24th minute. The United States countered and tied the match 2-2 off back-to-back goals in a three minute span by Susan Ciufo. Erin Matson scored the game winning goal for the United States off a penalty corner in the last minute.
