The Peruvian Hockey team managed to beat Paraguay 2-1 in the exciting match of the women's pool of the PanAmerican Challenge 2021.
Both teams had been showing improvements in their game. The Peruvians had a better flow between their lines and 9 minutes into the game Marina Montes would score the first goal for the host.
Las Aguaras did not despair and thanks to their great physical display they would manage to break the rival goal, scoring at 43 minutes through María Catebra. However, this parity would not last long. Before the end of the third quarter, with time expired, Peru would score again, this time with Victoria Montes.
With this victory, Peru becomes the leader of the group and will face Brazil in the semifinals. Las Aguaras will face the Trinidad and Tobago team in the semifinals.
