Trinidad & Tobago women overcame a slow start in their first match of the Caribbean and Central Games against Bermuda to win the first game of Pool B 5-0.

Trinidad dominated the first half but found it difficult to break through Bermuda’s resolute defence until the 30^th minute when Kristin THOMPSON put away a penalty corner rebound to score Trinidad’s 1^st goal.  Kayla BRAITHWAITE made it 2-0 to Trinidad five minutes later to end the 1^st half 2-0.

Trinidad continued their dominance in the second half with Dana-Lee de GANNES and Briana GOVIA scoring two quick field goals in the 45^th and 47^th minute respectively. Bermuda’s few attacks in the game were ably dealt with by Trinidad’s defence. Orie TROTMAN sealed the game for Trinidad with another field goal in 51^st minute.
