Match Report

Trinidad & Tobago women overcame a slow start in their first match of the Caribbean and Central Games against Bermuda to win the first game of Pool B 5-0.

Trinidad dominated the first half but found it difficult to break through Bermuda’s resolute defence until the 30th minute when Kristin THOMPSON put away a penalty corner rebound to score Trinidad’s 1st goal.  Kayla BRAITHWAITE made it 2-0 to Trinidad five minutes later to end the 1st half 2-0.

Trinidad continued their dominance in the second half with Dana-Lee de GANNES and Briana GOVIA scoring two quick field goals in the 45th and 47th minute respectively. Bermuda’s few attacks in the game were ably dealt with by Trinidad’s defence. Orie TROTMAN sealed the game for Trinidad with another field goal in 51st minute.
