Paraguay started with the right foot but Venezuela was better and won the match

The women’s national team of Paraguay had a good start, generating important attacks which were effective in only one opportunity, with a field goal. On the other hand, Las Vino-tinto (Red-wine, for the color of their shirt) had begun the match with the intention of improving their previous unfavorable results in this championship. However, the team from Venezuela could not achieve this until the second half. The first half ended with Paraguay leading the game 1-0 with a goal scored by Ivanna Romero.

In the second half, Venezuela changed their playing system. They seemed to wake up in time and were decided to change the result. Las Vino-tinto transformed their attacks in clear chances in three opportunities and Paraguay could not keep the pace of the game. The score finally favored Venezuela 3-1.

Next Sunday, March 16th, at 11:30 am (local time -3 GTM) Paraguay and Venezuela will meet at Manquehue Club again to fight for the 5^th place.
