ARG-BRA X ODESUR Games– South American Championship - DAY 5
Argentina remains unbeaten and waits for its opponent for the gold medal 
The women’s national teams of Brazil and Argentina played the second match of day 5. Las 
Leonas had already obtained a place in the final match of Sunday 16th, while Brazil is still 
waiting for the result of the match between Chile and Uruguay.
Some injuries were reported during the match in the team coached by Eduardo Martins Jr. 14 
minutes before the end of the first half Patricia Boos was hit on the face by a flying ball and was 
taken to Santa Clara hospital for medical assistance. Medical reports indicate that the player is 
now in good condition. 
Argentina dominated the game, and by the end of the first half the scoreboard was already 
5-0 on their side. The second half did not change much. Brazil could not find their pace and 
Argentina was superior and gave no chances to their opponents. The game was for Las 
Leonas, who closed the scoreboard 12-0. Three goals came from penalty corners and the top 
scorer was Carla Dupuy with four goals. 
With this result, Brazil will go tomorrow, March 16th at 1:45 pm, for the third-place match against 
the loser of match between Chile and Uruguay. Argentina will face the winner of that match at 
6:15 pm, at Manquehue Club.
