The 5^th match of Day 2 of the Men’s Youth Pan Am Championships 2014 was Canada vs. Argentina. Argentina scored the 1^st goal of the contest midway into the 1^st period, with a field goal from # 3, M. Monge. Canada equalized just moments after to level the score 1-1.

2 minutes into the 2^nd period Argentine #4 Tomas Domene scored reverse stick strike to bring the score to 2-1. Argentina #9, Ferreiro, scored off of a ball which rebounded off the boards. Less than a minute after he scored a reverse stick strike to give them their 4^th item of the contest. With some quick passing and intense pressure Canada came back to score their 2^nd item and keep their chances alive in this contest.  Argentina then won a challenge just moments before the end of the period but #4, Domene, failed to score.  

Argentina scored yet another goal in the 1^st minute of the 3^rd period with a field goal by their captain, #7, Casella. Canada #18, Brandon Pereira, then scored a powerful strike from the right side to bring the score to 5-3. Canada # 11 got a yellow card for an infringement but only moments after Canada’s captain, Panesar, scored their 4^th goal to keep their chances alive. The game ended 5-4 in favor of Argentina.
