The 4^th match of Day 2 of the Men’s Youth Pan Am Championships 2014 was Mexico vs. Guatemala. Mexico scored a deflection in the 1^st minute of the game by #8 Lemus. Mexico quickly scored 2 more goals as the score raced on in their favor in the early minutes of the 1^st period. At the end of the 1^st period the score remained 3-0 in favor of Mexico.

The 2^nd period of the match started fairly even but Mexico scored from a powerful strike by # 26, J. Sanchez Flores, to bring the score to 4-0. They scored again just moments later placing Guatemala under intense pressure to bring the score to 5-0. Mexico scored their 6^th goal of the match seconds before the end of 2^nd period. Guatemala registered their 1^st goal of the match in the 26^th minute with a field goal by # 20, C. Rodriguez Alvarez.  Mexico’s captain #24, A. Valdez Salas, then scored a tap in in the 32nd minute of play. With immense pressure in the 3^rd period Mexico are able to score 3 goals to end the match 8-1.
