Indoor Umpiring Clinic

Kitchener, Ontario, Canada: 7PM, Friday 22nd Feb 2013 

The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) and Field Hockey Canada (FHC) are pleased to invite you to attend a High Performance Indoor Umpiring Clinic.

Clinic Information:
The Clinic will be held at 7PM on Friday 22nd Feb at the Holiday Inn, Kitchener. The Clinic Conductor is FIH Outdoor and Indoor Umpire, Constantine (Gus) Soteriades [USA]. Gus is one of the most experienced indoor umpires in PAHF having participated in 2 FIH Indoor World Cups, 2 PAHF Indoor Cups, Asian Indoor Cup (as a neutral) and many other domestic tournaments.

Clinic Activities:
• Welcome & Introduction of the conductor and participants;
• Setting objectives for the clinic and tournament;
• Theoretical sessions, video presentations including:
o Management/ Flow of game
o Discipline/ Control
o Co-operation (colleague/ technical officials/ teams)
• Questions and contributions from the participants;
• Individual feedback for all participants;
• Match observations;
• Presentation of participant certificates

Note: Participants are expected to have good knowledge of the Rules of Indoor Hockey and current interpretations as well as some existing level of experience in umpiring.

Room rate for participants is C$99 + taxes. Participants are responsible for their own accommodation and meals arrangements (deadline to book a room at the above mentioned rate is February 8, 2013)

Participation:
The cost for participation in the Course will be C$50, which includes the right to attend the course and to receive a PAHF certificate of official participation. The fee will be collected at the Clinic.
