PAHF Umpiring Course - Mendoza (Argentina)

The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) is pleased to invite for inscriptions to join the PAHF Umpiring Course, during the Women’s Pan American Cup 2013 that will be held from 21 to 28 of September 2013, at Mendoza, Argentina.

Course Information:
The Course will be carried out from September 26, 4 PM to September 28, 11 PM with delivery of participation certificates. The course includes theoretical sessions and match observation during tournament. This will be an excellent opportunity to acquire information regarding all aspects of modern umpiring and also to share experiences with other Regional colleagues, at a Course sanctioned by PAHF. It will be dictated in Spanish. Participants will be limited to 20. Also there will be place for 5 observers, at the most. The Conductor will be the FIH Umpires Manager, Edmundo “Momi” Saladino.

Course Activities:
• Welcome & Introduction;
• Theoretical sessions and presentations;
• Analysis of matches;
• Official Closing and delivery of participation certificates.

Notes:   
1- Aptitudes of the Participants: Participants are expected to have good knowledge of the Rules of Hockey and preferably, some experience in umpiring. The participants should also to be able to transfer their new know-how to other umpires in their countries so that the PAHF can be sure that the standards of Hockey Umpiring improve.

Cost for Participation:
The cost for participation in the Course will be of US$430 which includes 3 nights of accommodation at the Amérian Executive Mendoza Hotel, http://www.amerian.com, in Single or Double Room, with breakfast included, the right to attend the course and a certificate of official participation issued by the PAHF. Participants are responsible to cover their own meals (lunch and dinner). For those who will not be staying at recommended Hotel, course fee is US$100.  Participants will be responsible for their own arrangements on arrival and departure.

Inscriptions:
Interested participants must send inscription by completing the Form of Participation (one by participant) at the PAHF website: http://www.panamhockey.org/en/umpiringform and pay the Course Fee to confirm.
