Day 5 was decider day for the women. Six of the eight teams came into the day with a mathematical chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. Mexico's was the only team already guaranteed a place. More

Day 4 of CAC Games action saw all the Day 2 teams that lost play to stay in the competition. JAM vs GUA and CUB vs GUY all playing for a chance to still play in the semi-finals. TTO vs BAR and DOM vs MEX played to consolidate their place in the semi-finals. More

Day 2 featured very competitive matches, with very little separating the teams. The heat came from the hockey as much as the sun with the lower ranked teams showing that they will not be underestimated. More

Two events have taken place recently that highlight a couple of things about hockey in the PAHF region. On the one hand, there are some teams are head and shoulders above all other PAHF nations when it comes to elite performance, with teams regularly pushing for top honours on the global stage. On the other hand, hockey is spreading across the continent as more teams follow a professional route when it comes to both the playing side of the game and the organizational and administrative side of things. The Barbados Hockey Federation (BHF) hosted a local Tri-Nation Women's International Hockey Series between national teams from Barbados, Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago on Thursday June 28, Saturday June 30 and Sunday July 1 at the Wildey Hockey Center. This women's series was the first accredited international competition in the country since the Women's Pan American Cup held in 2004, some 14 years ago. More
