On Day 6 of the Pan American Games Chile secured second spot in Pool A after a 2-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago. Two goals from Alberto Montilla gave the USA a 5-1 win over Mexico. Argentina and Canada both earned wins to top their pools. More

Argentina and USA emerge as the pool-play leaders. Canada beat Uruguay to take second place in Pool A, while Chile blanked Mexico to take the top of Pool B. Quarter-finals will take place on August 4. More

Peru scored their first two goals of the tournament despite losing out to Mexico by 8-1. Canada blanked USA 4-0 in an exciting battle of North America. Chile scored a goal in each quarter to beat Cuba in Pool B, while Argentina scored six on Trinidad and Tobago. More

On Day 3 pool-play action continued with Mexico beating Peru. USA scored four goals in the fourth quarter to beat Chile 4-2. Uruguay finished well on penalty corners to beat Cuba 8-1, while the Leonas blanked Canada 3-0. More

In Pool A play, Argentina beat Chile 5-1 and Cuba came from behind to upset Trinidad and Tobago 3-2. Canada and USA cruised past Mexico and Peru, respectively, for wins in Pool B. More

The usual suspects Argentina, Canada, USA and Chile all blanked their pool-play opponents to start the Pan American Games. Victories came for Argentina 2-0 over Uruguay, for Canada 10-0 over Cuba, for USA 5-0 over Mexico and for Chile 13-0 over Peru. Pool-play games continue on July 31. More

There are just a few weeks before the 18th Pan American Games gets underway. The bright, colorful celebration of sport sees athletes from 41 nations participate across 39 sports and disciplines, with, for many of the winners, the additional prize of qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
