The Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board will have two officials at the Tokyo Olympics.
Umpire Ayanna McClean and Technical Official Reyah Richardson were named on the list of officials appointed for the Tokyo Games.
Richardson was named as one of 14 Technical Officials for the Games, and one of three officials sourced from the Pan American region.
McClean is one of four umpires chosen from the Pan American region and is only the second umpire from this country to be chosen.
Previously, the only umpire from Trinidad and Tobago who officiated at the Olympics was Roger St Rose at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
McClean officiated the 2018 Commonwealth Games final in Gold Coast, Australia.
She has also officiated in the FIH World League this season.
Only 14 umpires were chosen to officiate in the women's hockey competition of the Tokyo Games.
Previously the only Trinidad and Tobago officials represented at the hockey tournament were St Rose and Willard Harris (Tournament Official).
The Tokyo Olympics was due to be staged in 2020 but was postponed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Toko Olympics runs from 23 July to 8 August 2021.
