On the second day of the Aquece Rio Test Event tournament taking place in the Deodoro Olympic Hockey Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, the president of the Pan American Hockey Federation, Alberto "Coco" Budeiskyand President of the Brazilian Hockey Confederartion, Sydnei Rocha, presented an award to Tatiana Noronha Machado, member of the Brazilian national team. She was selected by prominent international field hockey members for her outstanding performance during recent international tournaments to be part of the Pan American Elite Team. Tatiana also received the award as best player of the Pan American Challenge, tournament played in Chiclayo Peru, in the past month of October. Last Wednesday, after receiving the award, Tatiana thanked the support of her team and shared the recognition she received with them.

Some minutes later, Stephane Vehrle-Smith and Matheus Borges, players from the men's national Brazilian team, who were both participants of the semifinalists team in Toronto and winners of the Pan American Challenge, and who classified for the Olympic Games in Rio, were also awarded as members of the Pan American Elite team.
