More than 5.500 fans were present at Mendoza Stadium to watch an exciting match. Once more Argentina and Netherlands had to battle for a place in the finals.

15 minutes into the game and after four master saves from Belen Succi, Lidewij Weltin opened the score for Netherlands.

With one goal down Las Leonas kept firing, in an even match, looking for the opportunity to balance the game. It was Silvina D’Elia who scored the equalizing goal from a penalty corner in minute 31st.

The game turned physical in the second half and both goalkeepers became the master pieces of the game.

With only 40 seconds to the end, Carla Rebecchi was able to score after four saves by Netherlands goalkeeper. Netherlands requested video-reff for this last goal. Argentinean fans kept their breath while Succi encouraged the packed stands to celebrate their victory. The goal was awarded, and Argentina beat Netherlands 2-1.

Argentina will face Australia, who defeated New Zealand in the shoot out competition,  in the final match on Sunday  7pm (GTM -3)
