Finally the sun arrived this afternoon in Mendoza, where Argentina and England played on the third day of Competition at the Champions Trophy. Argentina looked forward to a win to lead Pool B.

The squad leaded by Captain Macarena Rodriguez, started the game with a disadvantage of 1-0 due to lack of concentration of their defense and a well executed penalty corner by Sophie Bray, from England. 13 shots on goal were executed by Las Leonas before Carla Rebecchi could beat the English Goalkeeper Kirsty Mackay, in minute 18th.  

It was in the third quarter that team conducted by Santiago Capurro changed their pace in a more physical than technical game.

But it was not until the fourth quarter that Argentina showed their power at penalty corners, scoring three more times in seven minutes and gaining the 3 goals difference to reach the top of the Pool B. Goals by  D’Elia, Luchetti and Merino, and victory for Argentina 4-1 against England. After this result, Argentina will meet China in the quarter finals.
