A new day of pure hockey was celebrated at the Carrasco Polo Club, today. Early in the morning, Uruguay and their fans were eager to the fight against their neighbors Argentina. Just five minutes into the game the score was a1-1. Argentina generated more opportunities and was rewarded. The match ended 6-1 in favor of Argentina. Later, the South Americans were reassured as favorites with a win on Mexico, 14-0.
Argentina went to the second round with perfect points, now looks forward to their encounter against USA.
The Americans gained the second position, without any doubt, after their win over Mexico, 9-0.
Uruguay wasn’t lucky. In the morning they were beaten by Argentina and later by USA.
“We have more to give, we are not tired. We need to show good attitude’’, said Belen Valenzuela, Mexican player after they were defeated.
