The Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board (TTHB), in conjunction with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), through funding from the Olympic Solidarity Commission, successfully hosted a FIH Level 2 Field Hockey Coaching course from 31st October - 4th November, 2013 at the National Hockey Centre, Eastern Regional Sports Complex, Trinidad.

This course was conducted by former captain of the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Hockey team and England Hockey League's 2012-2013 Performance Coach of the year, Kwandwane Browne. The course recorded 19 coaches in attendance - 15 from Trinidad, 2 from Tobago and 2 from Guyana. It involved coaches learning and implementing various techniques and tactics beyond an introductory level and learning how to apply them to tactical play and the coaching of teams.

Kwandwane Browne has been the coach of England Hockey League (EHL) Men’s Premiership team, Canterbury Hockey Club for the last 5 years. Canterbury Premiership team is presently 5th in the EHL standings. In a brief interview Kwan indicated that he felt and saw the passion of quite a few of the coaches and it gave him great pride and comfort to know that there is a real desire for progress in the Caribbean region.
