Subject: Call for Bids to Host PAHF Competitions / Period 2014-2015
The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) is continuously working at all possible levels to turn competitions into Events, where more than just matches will take place. Development, Coaching, Technical and Umpiring Courses are possible options to be conducted simultaneously with competitions.
Presenting proper bids, by filling out Bid Forms and acknowledging technical and administrative requirements is crucial. This will provide information to assist the PAHF Board of Directors in deciding which National Association will be able to offer the best possible conditions to organize a specific PAHF Event, to raise the profile of the sport in the host nation and to advance the status of hockey in the Americas.
Considering the above and the Events not awarded yet, we are pleased to call for our member National Associations to bid on hosting one or more of the PAHF Events as listed below for the period 2014‐2015:
REMAINING PAHF EVENTS PLANNED FOR THE PERIOD 2014‐201
2014: PAHF Indoor Pan American Cups (M&W) 2014
2015: PAHF Pan American Challenge (M&W) 2015
All Events should be considered according to their profile and importance. The following is a brief summary regarding the above Events and their specific international level:
Indoor Pan American Cup 2014
This is a qualifier for the FIH Indoor World Cup, the highest level of Competition for Indoor Hockey.
Pan American Challenge 2015
This is a qualifier for the PAHF Pan American Cup and consequently to the FIH World Cup. It is an entry opportunity for nations to compete, to raise their level of play and also get World Ranking points.
The PAHF invites National Associations to submit their Bid(s) by the 22nd of March, 2013, identifying the Event or Events with preferred dates (please review all hockey schedules of the FIH and PAHF to avoid conflicts) and send it to:
- Mr. Julio Neves, PAHF Project Coordinator – julio.neves@panamhockey.org
- Mr. Willard Harris, PAHF Competitions Committee Secretary ‐ willardpharris@gmail.com
