2013 South American Championships - Uruguay vs. Argentina

The first four days of the Women’s 2013 South American Championship have now been completed at San Carlos de Apoquindo, in Santiago de Chile. Argentina is the leader with 4 victories, collecting 12 points while Chile and Uruguay come next with 9 points. The two best teams will play the final match, next Saturday.

Chile vs. Argentina was a most anticipated match. With a large crowd of hockey fans, and local TV, in attendance, the Argentineans conducted by Santiago Capurro beat the host 4-1 and gained a place in the final match.

Chile standing in the second place with 9 points will play their chance against Uruguay who won against Paraguay 10-0 on Tuesday and achieved the same number of points.

Brazilians come next, with 4 points from the victory 7-0 against Peru and a draw 0-0 against Paraguay on the third day of the competition.

Next Friday will be critical to establish positions and the second team for the final match on Saturday.

The first match will be Peru and Paraguay and right after Argentina and Brazil, the challenging one will be Chile vs Uruguay.
