2011 Pan American Games - Argentina vs. Chile

The cross-over round of both the Women’s and Men’s competitions of the Pan American Games is now complete. In the Women’s final, Argentina and the United States will meet. Argentina secured its spot in the Final with a dominating 5-0 win over Chile; while the United States came away with a 4-2 win over Canada. Thus, playing for third place on the Women’s side is Chile and Canada. And in the match to decide fifth and sixth place is Mexico and Cuba. Caribbean rivals Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados will play for seventh and eighth place, respectively.

Canada and Argentina will play in the Men’s final. Canada secured its spot in the Final with a narrow 3-2 win over Cuba; while Argentina secured their spot in the Final with a dominating 7-1 win over Chile. As a result, on the Men’s side, Cuba and Chile will play for third place. Playing in the match to decide fifth and sixth place in the Men’s Competition are neighbor countries Mexico and the United States. Like the Women’s Competition, Caribbean rivals Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados will play in the match to decide the seventh and eighth places, respectively.
