The semifinals of the PanAmerican Challenge 2021 had the first match between the teams of Peru and Brazil, playing for the ticket to the final and the qualification for the Pan American Hockey Cup.

The host would soon be ahead on the scoreboard. At 10’  into the game with a lash to the rival goal, Malen Moccagatta would put the first for Peru.

The Brazilians would go on the attack in search of a tie but the solvency of the Peruvian defense would make it impossible for them to draw the score.

At 37 minutes into the game and through a Penalty Corner, Maru Montes scored the second goal and sealed the victory for Peru.

With this result, the Peruvian team qualified for the Pan American Hockey Cup  in Santiago de Chile in 2022.

On the last date of the tournament, Brazil will face Paraguay for the third place in the championship. Peru will face Trinidad and Tobago to contest the first place of the tournament.
