BRA-VEN X ODESUR Games– South American Championship - DAY 4

Tight match with victory for Brazil

Women National teams of Brazil and Venezuela played a tight match today. Both teams went

out searching the victory. The first half had an intense rhythm. Venezuela’s showed an offensive

an open play getting a number of chances but did not capitalize. Brazil performance was not

good, but was able to score in two opportunities when they reached the area.

In the second half Venezuela came out with same pace and trying to break Brazil’s defense.

Eduardo Martins’s team tried to keep the defense strong but finally the “Red wines” scored

from a penalty corner in minute 67th thru Stephanie González Hernandez. One minute before

the end Venezuela tied the game, but the goal was cancelled. The Brazilians went out with the

victory and the chance to fight the 3rd place in the South American Championship.
