Paraguay played well but Brazil went out with the victory

The first match of Day 3 of women’s competition of the South American Championship was between Paraguay and Brazil, the “south American hockey classic”.

In a balanced match Paraguay and Brazil played counter attack game until Paraguay’s National Team started to lose possession of the ball and concentration. The rivals immediately took advantage of this change and scored two goals from penalty corners before going to half time. 

In the second half Paraguay came out with focus in the score and the intention to minimize the difference; in an offensive move Paraguay scored their first goal in minute 45th thru Gianinna Zambrini Vera. Brazil found a chance again and converted taking the lead and their first victory by beating Paraguay 3-1.
