December 3, 2002 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games Four Qualify For The
Pan American Games
Following the completion on December 3 of the hockey tournament at the 19th Central American and Caribbean Games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago (men and women), Barbados (men) and Jamaica (women) have qualified for the 14th Pan American Games, to be held August 2 - 13, 2003.
They will join Canada (men) and Argentina (women), who qualify as defending champions, and host country Dominican Republic.
One more country of each gender will qualify from the 5th South American Championships, to be held in Santiago, Chile, in March, and the last three men's and women's places will be filled based on final standings in the 1st Americas Cup.
