During the recent Junior World Cup in Boston, USA, Chris Waters was awarded the PAHF Order of Merit for his long service to hockey and specifically the PAHF.

Chris started his PAHF career winning a bronze medal while playing for the USA in the first Pan Am Games in 1967. After his retirement from playing he went on to be an administrator in the FHAA, PAHF and FIH.

For the PAHF, Chris was a member of the PAHF Board, retiring as Treasurer in 2006. For 9 years he was the editor of the PAHF Newsletter, a quarterly publication sent to PAHF stakeholders in the days before the internet.

Chris was also a tireless worker on the PAHF Competitions Committee and eventually chaired the Committee. He was an instrumental force in the creation and implementation of the Pan American Cup Competition.

Chris is now fully retired, living in Massachusetts and enjoying his 5 grandchildren. He still follows hockey with a keen interest and is always looking at tournament results on the PAHF web site.

The PAHF Congratulates Chris on this very deserved award.
