Cuban National Championship

The championship started on September 7, with the participation of 6 teams from the provinces of Ciego de Avila, Ciudad de la Habana, Las Tunas, Camaguey, Villa Clara and Santiago de Cuba.

The tournament was organized with two qualifying stages, starting with a round-robin where each team played against all the other. At the end of this stage, the teams of Camaguey and Santiago de Cuba were eliminated.

On September 13, the second round started for the remaining four teams, again with a round-robin where each team played against all the other. Finally, teams placed 1 and 2 in this second round-robin competed for the Championship, while teams placed 3 and 4 played for the bronze medal.

After a rest day on Friday 16 will be a resting day, the Finals were played on Saturday 17.

Cuba is divided in 14 provinces and 1 special municipality. From the 14 provinces, hockey is played in 12 of them (only the provinces of Pinar del Río and Guantánamo don't play hockey).
