2007 Pan American Club Championship
December 8-18, 2007 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Venue:Field Hockey Stadium at the Deodoro Sports Complex, in Rio de Janeiro,
where the hockey competitions were held in the Pan American Games Rio 2007.

The competition will be organized by:
  • the Brazilian Confederation (CBHG)
  • the Hockey Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FHERJ).
  • Championship:
  • There will be both men’s and women’s competitions.
  • Depending on the number of participating teams, it will be a one-pool or a two-pool competition.
  • Brazil will be represented by 2 men’s teams and 1 women’s team.
  • Officials:
  • Tournament Director = 1
  • Tournament Officials = 2
  • Judges = 4 to 6
  • Umpire Manager = 1
  • Umpires = 6
  • Accommodations:
  • For the officials: Hotel Ibis - Rua Silva Jardim, 32 - Torre 1

  • For the teams:
    • Fomule 1 Rio de Janeiro - Rua Silva Jardim, 32
      Daily rates per room: R$ 99,00 (1, 2 or 3 guests per room)
      Breakfast: R$ 5,00 per guest
      There are no restaurants in the premises

    • Arcos Rio Palace Hotel - Av. Mem de Sá, 117 – Centro ( Lapa)
      Daily rates per person:
      In a single room with breakfast: R$ 130,00
      In a double room with breakfast: R$ 70,00
      In a triple room with breakfast: R$ 65,00
      Restaurant: R$22,00 per person (1 soft drink included)

    • Mengo Palace - Rua Correia Dutra, 31
      Daily rates per room:
      R$ 145.00 – single with breakfast
      R$ 165.00 - double with breakfast
      R$ 200.00 - triple with breakfast
      Restaurant: a la carte: about R$ 30,00 per meal.

    • Hotel OK - Rua Senador Dantas, 24 – Centro
      Daily rates per person:
      In a single room with breakfast: R$ 130,00
      In a double room with breakfast: R$ 70,00
      In a triple room with breakfast: R$ 65,00
      Restaurant: R$22,00 per person (1 soft drink included)
  • Transportation:
  • The hotels suggested are in the downtown area, approximately a 25-minute ride to the Deodoro Sports Complex.
  • Transportation from the hotels to Deodoro will be sponsored by CBHG.
  • The officials will have separate transportation, also sponsored by CBHG.
  • Media Coverage:
  • For the duration of the championship, the major newspapers will be covering the event.
  • As soon as we receive confirmation that the championship will be held in Rio, we will contact the television networks to discuss coverage.
  • CBHG will have a photographer present throughout the competition.
  • Public Attendance:
  • Admission will be free of charge.
  • The event, will be announced in schools and universities as well as in the media.
  • Closing Ceremonies:
  • For men and women:
  • Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
  • Gold, silver and bronze medals
  • Awards for most valuable player, best goal keeper and best scorer.
  • Registration:
