To: PAHF Central American & Caribbean Participating Member Countries From: Alberto "Coco" Budeisky, PAHF Competition Committee - Chairman Date: May 10, 2006 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic July 18 - 29, 2006 The Pan American Hockey Federation now advise of the eight (8) participating teams, and the reserve teams for the 2006 XX Central American & Caribbean Games Hockey Men's & Women's Competitions. Due to the amount of entries in the Men's Competition, the Pan American Hockey Federation based its selection of the final eight (8) teams on the basis of current F.I.H. World Rankings (i.e. at 31st December 2005). The selected teams are as follows:
Reserves (men): Jamaica and Guyana Should it become necessary, the Reserve Teams named may be asked to participate should one or more of the eight selected teams is unable to participate. Both Competitions will be played in accordance with the F.I.H. Two Pool System (March 2006) with cross-over and classification matches for positions 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 respectfully.
