The woman field hockey team of the Netherlands Antilles is leaving for an official Inter-Nation Match Series to Cuba. The event will take place during the 31.03 - 09.04.2005 in Havana.

It is the first time ever that a national hockey team from the Netherlands Antilles is going to Cuba. A total of 4 official hockey matches will be played against the Cuban National Women Team.

This official Inter-Nation Match Series in Cuba aims to further expose Antillean Hockey within the Pan American region and to provide competitive play experiences on higher international level. The Cuban team is one of the best within the Americas. The Netherlands Antilles hockey team is currently ranked 34 at the FIH (Sahara) Women's World Hockey ranking. The visit to Havana further serves to strengthen the sporting ties between the Cuban and Antillean Hockey Federations.

Team coach Lothar Duelberg and manageress Marieke Dennert-Kleijn have selected for this event the15 best players from Curacao and St. Maarten:
