March 29 to April 6

(Translation by Carolina Ehlert)

Paraguay - Brazil : 0 - 3
Chile - Venezuela : 8 - 1
Uruguay - Argentina : 0 - 8

Paraguay - Brazil : 0 - 3

The first half was enough time for Brazil to make the difference and assure the result of the match. During this half they played well and made sure that the rival could not reach its aim.

Paraguay improved in the second half, mainly in the midfield stopping Brazils’ attack.

Chile - Venezuela : 8 - 1

Chile played well, as usual, even though they expected to win by a bigger difference in score. The Chilean girls keep on showing very fancy moves. They really make very good use of the penalty corners and make their rivals tremble when they are executed; 90 % end up in goal. They also have a good midfield; especially number 17 (Paula Saieh), who plays at an excellent level.

Venezuela tried attacking and when they fought they scored, but Chile made sure it would not happen again.

Uruguay - Argentina : 0 - 8

Argentina scored numerous goals against Uruguay in the last match of the day. The Argentine girls played excellently as they have been doing all through the tournament. They open the field and nimbly manage the “ball”.

Uruguay tried to play at the same level but it was not enough; they could not stop Argentina at any moment and it was reflected in the score.
