1 | Pool A | 10:00am | BRA - CUB | 1 - 7 (0 - 4) | Final |
At the openning round of the Playoff, the Central American team won their first three point beating the Brazilian team by 7-1. Cuba got the advantage at the fourth minute and with that gave them calm to manage the game and to achieve the victory. The Brazilian team had only a few chances but never gave up fighting and kept struggling to reduce the difference. Even with this great effort from Brazil, Cuba showed good game flow, better colective movements and accuracy in the circle defended by the Brazilian goalkeeper Tatara, the man of the match, who prevented a higher score for Cuba. With this result Cuba is now leading and counts on a good goal difference to conquer their spot in Guadalajara.
