Undefeated Cuba comprehensively beat Dominican Republic 6-1 in the final Pool A match of the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (Men) to top the table with 9 points and to advance to the semi-final round with Trinidad and Tobago.
Yoandy BLANCO gave Cuba a 1-0 lead in the 4th minute but strong defending by Dominican Republic restricted the scoring until the last five minutes of the half when Adrian MOLINA and Captain Alexander ABREU added a goal each.
Cuba’s dominance continued in the second half and they extended their 3-0 halftime lead with Roger AUGUILERA adding two goals in a five minute span and Nelson GINORIO VEGA adding another one.
