Match Report

Cuba stormed to a 17-0 victory against Guatemala in the second game of Pool A in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Cuba put in a very dominant display in the first half with Yoel VEITIA scoring his team’s first four goals in the 8th, 10th, 15th and 21st minutes. Roger AGUILERA contributed to Cuba’s first half 9-0 tally with a hatrick and both Yoandy BLANCO and Marcos MARTINEZ added to the total with one goal each.

 

Cuba continued in the same vein in the second half adding another 8 goals with Roger AGUILERA scoring his fourth goal and Yoel VEITIA adding two more goals to make his total six goals in the match. Despite their commanding lead Cuba relentlessly attacked Guatemala, with Darian VALERO scoring a brace and Leordan HERNANDEZ, Yoandy BLANCO and Adrian MOLINA adding one goal each.
