Los Celestes ended up in the 5th place in the men’s championship

This morning at 9:15 AM (-3 GMT local time), Uruguay and Perú defined the last two places in the South American Championship. Uruguay played a very good and offensive first half, in which 2 of the 4 goals they scored came from penalty corners. Perú did not have a good start and made many defensive mistakes, but this would change in the second half. The scoreboard favored Uruguay 4-0 at halftime.

During the second half Perú would stand at their end, proposing a more defensive scheme. This worked out effectively until Maximiliano Tixe scored the last goal that closed the game in favor of Los Celestes. Top scorer of the match was Alexis López, who scored 4 times. 
The 5th place of the South American Championship was for Uruguay, while Peru came in 6th place.
