Match Report

VEN –BRA X ODESUR Games – South American Championship - DAY 4

Venezuela could not keep the pace, and Brazil won the match

“Los Vino-Tinto” (Red Wine in English, for the color of their shirt) could not repeat their former games performance in the pitch and were beaten by the Brazilian team. Brazil and Venezuela national teams held a game of physical proficiency, both looking for the objective of getting closer to the finals of the South American Championship.

During the first half, “Los Vino-Tinto” came up with all the energy focused in opening the scoreboard, and achieved it in minute 11th , breaking Brazil defense and winning a penalti corner shot that ended in a goal. By means of another penalty corner “Los Canarios” could tie the score, and thereafter they kept the control of the game. Venezuela would  lose concentration, and Brazil could take advantage of it, ending the first half 3-1 up in the scoreboard.

The second had same intensity of the last minutes of the first period. Brazil was the leading  team in this instance, and Venezuela could not recover physically. “Los Canarios” closed the game when Bruno Paes scored an extraordinary goal on minute 60th . Final score was 4-1 in favor of Brazil.
